Centrifugal Process Pump RAC Series

The pumps are characterized by the special impeller. It is of the open type with recessed hub and with a limited number of vanes, two of which symmetrically arranged and axially drawn toward the suction port following a peculiar spiral development. The peculiar shape of the impeller and its large passages allow the delivery of high viscous media and solutions containing high concentration of solid contents and of suspended foreign bodies of remarkable size.

The pumps of RAC line are suitable for industries such as paper, sugar, water softening, food plus mining and chemical industry.

MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION
Casing and cover in cast iron G 25; impeller and wear plate in stainless steel AISI 304. Upon request, the liquid end can be supplied in AISI 316, AISI 304 and special alloys. The shaft and the sleeve of the standard construction are in stainless steelX30Cr13. The sleeve can be hardened or ceramic coated (hardness 63HRc). The bearing bracket is always in cast iron.

APPLICATIONS
Paper industry
To deliver, at high efficiency, the chemical pulp, the wood pulp and the paper pulp up to 15% concentration of solid content.
White waters recovery; pulper discharge.

Sugar industry
Especially suited for the conveyance of refinery syrups and thick juices.

Water softening industry
For digested sludge, active and sediment sludge.

Food industry
To convey media having up to 40% of solid contents, to pump all juices.
Hydraulic conveyance of alimentary products (cherries, olives, peas, etc.) without damaging them.
Mining and chemical industry
To handle high concentrated brines and liquids containing flocculates.

PERFORMANCES
Capacity up to 1000 m3/h.
Total dynamic head up to 65 m.l.c.
Standard speed 1470 RPM.
Suction height varies with he pump capacity and with the speed and can reach 8-9 m W.C..
When handling hot media near their boiling point, pump must operate under positive suction head.
